MORRISON-MIZ retain vs. Finlay-Hornswoggle
The
Miz knocked Finlay out of the ring, which allowed Morrison
to slam Hornswoggle from the top rope for the pin.
UNITED
STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
MATT HARDY retains vs. Chavo Guerrero
Chavo received help on the outside from Bam Neely, who worked
over Hardy's left knee. After a pair of suplexes, Matt Hardy
countered Chavo's Three Amigos with a Twist of Fate for
the pin.
ECW CHAMPIONSHIP
MARK HENRY d. Kane, Big Show
Kane and Show briefly worked together--hitting a double
choke slam on Henry. The two then fought over the pin and
it remained each man for himself. Henry won the title after
Kane super-plexed Show, and Henry snuck in for a splash
on Kane.
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TED DIBIASE-CODY RHODES d. Hardcore Holly-Cody Rhodes
DiBiase asked for more time to allow his partner to
arrive, but when that wasn't allowed he decided to start
the match solo and called for Holly to go against. Holly
obliged, but was then was hit with a DDT from behind by
Rhodes. Cody then tagged in Ted who locked in a Million
Dollar Dream-leg sweep combination for the pin. New tag
champs as promised, with DiBiase and Rhodes holding the
gold.
INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE
KOFI KINGSTON d. Chris Jericho
Kofi was the surpise opponent after Jericho began with
a promo to further turn the crowd. Several near falls as
Kofi was building steam and pushed Jericho. Lionsault didn't
get the pin, but Walls of Jericho was locked in--and then
HBK came out of the crowd. Lance Cade received Sweet Chin
Music on the outside and Michaels jumped to the apron, but
was met with a shoulder from Y2J. This allowed Kofi to hit
Trouble in Paradise as Jericho turned back around for the
title change. Staff tried to seperate the two, but Jericho
punched HBK in the injured eye after the match.
WWE WOMEN'S TITLE
MICKIE JAMES retains vs. Katie Lea Burchill
Mickie banged her left shoulder on a turnbuckle early, which
hampered her the rest of the match, but she still hit the
DDT for the win.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
EDGE retains vs. Batista
A Batista-bomb had the match won, but referee Mickey
Henson was pulled out of the ring and Chavo became new ref.
Batista pressed Vickie over his head and launched her over
the ropes onto LaFamilia outside the ring, but Edge used
the belt for a shot to the head and Chavo counted 1-2-3.
WWE TITLE
TRIPLE H retains vs. John Cena
HHH banged up his left knee on a fall from the ring
midway through. Both raised the shoulder to kick out of
each other's finishers. Cena showed incredible strength,
standing up from a crossface with HHH on his shoulders and
almost hit the FU before being elbowed in the face. A Pedigree
followed for the pin.
